CS1000 Solution Characteristics

Based on Release 4.0,  Nortel Communication Server 1000 (CS 1000)  is enterprise call server software. Including :

  ¡ESupports centralized or distributed collaborative enterprise environments with distributed call server and gateway

     redundancy,

 ¡EIP telephony scalability up to 15,000 IP clients per call server. Delivers service

    ubiquity through a diverse portfolio of adaptive IP client devices as well as analog

    and digital telephones.

 ¡ESession Initiation Protocol (SIP) based interworking with Nortel Multimedia

    Communication Server 5100 (MCS 5100) portfolio and support for an extended
    range of communication clients.

 ¡EAcross CS 1000 systems, including Meridian* 1 (formerly named CS1000M

    after migration),  that also provides a seamless path for existing Meridian 1 PBX
    systems to migrate to an IP PBX architecture.

 ¡ECS 1000 offers a robust set of sophisticated telephony features coupled with

     new SIP based functionality.  Including  IP (LAN/WAN)¡BTDM station and 

     SIP¡BH.323¡Banalog or digital (T1/E1/PRI) interface.   

 ¡EBuilt-in reliability based on  UNIX-like operating system (i.e. VxWorks ) and

     multiple resiliency mechanisms ,including redundant call and signaling

     servers and survivable WAN gateways. It's one of the critical  factor to secure

     network.  Also is the ahead  technical excellence from other VoIP solution.

    WLAN/Conferencing, analog/digital & IP Phones.
